In this episode of the comic (and soon to be web series) of Starseed + Her Psychic Warriors Starseed and her earth friends Alice, Wren and Sage go on another hallucinogenic trip to the “mindscape.” This time they return to Starseed’s realm where they get a glimpse of what Starseed remembers of her home world. Upon arrival, Alice, Wren and Sage are separated and have to get help from others in the mindscape to track each other down. On this trip they have a run-in with their old foe, Spectre and get a taste of Starseed’s perspective on her original Earth arrival story.
Flight Risk is a prequel to Utopia (pilot episode to Starseed + Her Psychic Warriors). Coming Spring 2021.
About the Director
Sophia Pierre is the writer, director and a producer on this pilot project. She is a film and comics illustration major at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago and through this story bridges these two particular formats. In print form this origin story is already available at Quimby's Bookstore (1854 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60622). This is a passion project that is years in the making, will serve as her film thesis and will be just the beginning of a long multi-media journey.
